Transfer Case Solid Crush Sleeve for 3000GT / Stealth / GTO AWD

Whenever you are doing a full rebuild to your transfer case, you will need the now obsolete Crush Sleeve, to achieve the correct preload of the pinion shaft bearings.
 
This item is very hard to find and even if you find it, there is a chance to ruin it by overtightening the giant nut on the pinion shaft of the transfer case. Once overtightened, it will crush the sleeve too much resulting in excessive preload and then guess what, you will need a new Crush Sleeve.
 
This Solid Crush Sleeve is designed to be reusable. It also cannot be damaged by overtightening the bolt. It uses shims to make the correct preload for your pinion shaft bearings. It is made out of solid steel and it is pretty durable.
 
The original Crush Sleeve also tends to become "softer" with the years of abuse, and this may lead to an overly loose pinion end and potentially catastrophic damage to your transfer case.
This solid crush sleeve will give you a piece of mind that once the correct preload is made, it will stay rock solid!
