PVD TOP RINGS – TURBO APPLICATIONS
Wössner are now utilising a new kind of top piston ring that has been treated with a process called Physical Vapour Deposition, or PVD for short. PVD treated rings offer the following benefits:
• A harder surface finish for the rings increases durability.
• A better tension on the top ring without having to increase thickness.
• Exceptional scuff and wear resistance extending service life.
• PVD coating reduces friction while adding hardness and toughness.
